This
delightful golf course set in superb countryside is perfectly
situated 7 miles off the A1 on the A684 through the Dales
Road. Akebar Park enjoys spectacular views across the Dales
National Park. The course offers a range of facilities from
the driving range to the gold course, and it's very own 19th
hole, the Friars Head where you can relax with a drink or

Driving
Range
Balls are 85% loaded and the practice distances are matched
accordingly. Individual or small group lessons can be booked
with the senior P.G.A. instructor at Akebar Park. Clubs may
be hired and play tokens are purchased at reception. £1.50
for a basket of 50 (1 lot) or £2.50 for a basket of 100 (2
lots).
Practice
Green
The holder of a play card may use the putting green on the
day upon which the card is stamped and providing golf shoes
are worn.
Academy
Course
Short 9-hole course with blue T-markers and flags; specially
designed for learners and teachers or for golfers who only
have an hour or two to spare or who wish to improve accuracy.
Gold
Course
Yellow flags and red flags with yellow T-markers for men and
red for ladies; crosses Bedale Beck after the 2nd hole. Short
18 hole course with lots of challenge and variety. Stupendous
views, rare flora, water wildlife and woodland scenery. The
approximate play time for the Gold course is a good three
hours.
Members
Course
Red and Yellow flags with white T-markers. An exciting handicap
course which can be played as either a 9 hole or 18 hole exercise.
Testing fairways and water challenges are to be negotiated
on this supreme course. The approximate play time for this
course is four hours.
Corporate
or Contract Groups
Corporate or Contract Groups may hire any of the courses for
private play by arrangement, including the use of the Friar's
Head for food, bar or conference facilities. We thank you
